A wordless lullaby composed by Jen Wang (2017). Commissioned and performed by Megan Ihnen as part of the Sleep Songs project. Engineered by Andrew Rodriguez.

A note from the composer:
As I write this, I have three small children. Getting small children to sleep can be a ritual, and all of mine need(ed) the help of being held, and bounced, and shushed, to get to sleep when they were really small. One baby was easy (or is, so far): a few minutes will do it. But the other two needed to be bounced and shushed, sometimes for hours, to sleep. My husband and I used to take turns with the baby, doing our work for the day while bouncing and shushing through each nap. I have fallen asleep on my feet while doing it. And, of course, if your baby’s in one of these phases, you’ll start to bounce and sway without thinking whenever you think of her. The physicality and the rhythm of rocking a baby to sleep can permeate your body, and it can surface whether or not you’re thinking of it, like unconsciously humming a song aloud when it’s stuck in your head.
